Evaluation - Part 6

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

Computer 
DELL Optiplex 745

The computers at Parkwood are easy to use but they are quite dated and can take a while to load and the internet can be quite slow at times. Also when using some software's like 'Sony Vegas' uploading to the internet is something that cannot be done as the computer cannot take that much processing and shuts down.

My Own Laptop (SONY)

I know how to use my laptop very well as I use it everyday. I use it to blog from home and also I use it to create brain storms, prezi's and so on.

Blogger

Blogger is easy to use and allows me to look at my work in an easy way and it allows me to blog something without the worry of loosing it if it was on paper for example. It is a neat way of presenting my work and it allows you to see my progression throughout the course of the year.

Prezi

Prezi.com is an easy and efficient way for me to make online presentations and makes it more eye catching and less boring for my blog as it is a presentation and you can make it anyway that you want. It makes work a lot more fun. It took me a while to embed it into my blog so that you can look at it as a post but other than that it was relatively straight forward to use.

Bubbl

Bubbl.us is easy to use and I had no problems when using the website.

Camera

I used my own personal camera and as I had never used it before it took some getting used to. It is relatively easy to use and I found it a good learning tool for future topics that include filming. The memory on my camera is quite good, but as it is an old model the footage has to be stored on a disc which is handy to have as it means that everything that I took on it is all stored in one place and I didn't have to constantly put little footage on the computer if the memory was full.

Sony Vegas

When using Sony Vegas it was hard to get to grips with the programme as I hadn't used anything like it before. I watched a lot of the tutorials on the software and that gave me a good starting point on editing my film. After I got used to the programme  I found it really to use, but if I did have to do something that I didn't know how to do I would go back to the tutorial and see what it was that I needed to do.

YouTube

I used YouTube.com to upload my preliminary and two minute opening. I is easy to use as I use it on a daily basis.

IMDB

I used this website a lot while reaearching for ideas for our two minute opening. It is easy to use and give you a lot of information that helps with ideas about genres for example.

SlideShare

Using slideshare was really easy. All you had to do was create a PowerPoint in Microsoft PowerPoint and then upload it to slideshare.
